Project Description

The planned development on Western Road is a commercial property with flats situated above the café, positioned within an active shopping parade. The main goal of this project is to create a high-quality development that makes efficient use of the land while also supporting the Council’s housing targets.

Proposal Outline

    • Partially build out the first floor above the current roof terrace.
    • Renovate and expand the shop's rear to create a new, self-contained two-bedroom apartment.
    • Alter the layout of the existing first-floor flat, resulting in two separate units.
    • Extend the second floor so it aligns with the adjacent property on Western Road.
    • Preserve an accessible roof terrace for use as an amenity by both existing and future residents.
